Dear parents/carers,
I am very pleased to be contacting you to provide information on the upcoming Workplace Learning (WPL) opportunity for eligible Year 11 Students.
Please find attached a PowerPoint outlining the WPL program. As this information is usually provided at a face-to-face parent meeting, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly should you have any questions or queries regarding the content. Understandably the current climate does not support group meetings.
Currently businesses are cautious about the number of people who transition through their premises. This has made it a challenge trying to place students in WPL. It is not guaranteed that a placement will be found for all eligible students.
Students must meet certain criteria to attend WPL. There will be a selection process where attendance, engagement and attitude at school are reviewed. Class timetables will run as normal during the WPL period for students who do not wish to register for WPL, are not eligible to attend, or for whom placements cannot be found.
Once you have read the program information in the attached PowerPoint, and should you wish your son/daughter to register for WPL, please complete the link below with your child present.
