Australind Senior High School continues to be one of the most consistently performing senior high schools with another excellent ATAR performance in 2021, supporting regional students to achieve their university aspirations. Australind SHS would like to congratulate students on their ATAR and Vocational Education 2021 achievement.
We wish to highlight the following achievements:
Jaxon Brown topped the cohort and finished with an ATAR score of 99 which places him in the top 1% of the state and also celebrates a score that places him in an elite group of students achieving an exceptional score. Tyler Cooper also hit a close to perfect ATAR score with 98.50 to finish in the top 1.5% of the state. Both young men are a product of the Australind SHS Mathematics and Philosophy (MaP) program, are great mates and have had a very competitive rivalry that has supported their success.
Other very notable ATAR cohort performance includes:
· 17% of the ATAR cohort finishing in the top 10% of the state (a score in the 90’s),
· An additional 27% of the cohort finished with a score in the top 20% of the state (a score in the 80’s)
· An additional 17% of the cohort finished in the top 30% of the state
· With an overall performance of 86% of the total cohort finishing in the top 40% when compared to the state.
We also wish to acknowledge our Vocational Education and Training (VET) student performance as the initial data demonstrates the successful completion of 148 Certificates (Certificate II and III’s) across many varied meaningful training opportunities which is an outstanding achievement. Sincere thanks to our staff that deliver training in our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and to our General Course staff that support our students so well. All of the final VET and General Course performance data is not yet available to us.
Congratulations to all students for their commitment to their education and achievements. We wish them well in their journey ahead and recognise their families for their on-going support. I would also like to acknowledge our staff for the journey that they have travelled supporting our remarkable young people.
