I look forward to welcoming our students and all the excitement of day 1 when our school opens on Monday 31 January.
For the safety of our students and staff we are following the latest heath advice and I attach a factsheet on our Safe Return to School Plan. This shows how we will work together to keep our students, staff and school community safe.
As you will be aware, public health and social measures are in effect for the Perth and Peel (including Rottnest Island) and South West regions, details at wa.gov.au. This includes the requirement for masks to be worn while indoors at school in these regions.
That means our staff and students will need to wear masks indoors, including getting to school on public transport or rideshare. Students are expected to bring a mask and we will have spare masks if students arrive without one.
Regular cleaning of high touch surfaces will continue, and this will also include toilets during the breaks. Classrooms will have hand sanitiser available, but we do encourage students to bring hand sanitiser and soap for personal use.
Our staff will continue to remind and encourage students to maintain reasonable practices that will reduce any risks to their health.
I want to assure you that the health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we will continue to follow the latest WA Health advice at healthywa.wa.gov.au.
Thank you to all students and parents for your understanding and support during these times.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 9797 4400.
